Larval metamorphosis in F. amabilis
Found on athecate hydroid colonies of Eudendrium boreale Yamada, 1954, in intertidal and subtidal rocky substrates. Grows to about 26mm long. It differs from two other Japanese species, F. abei and F. athadona, in having a white line along the dorsal midline of the tail.
