Another photo of Siphopteron sp. 2.
July 28, 1999
From: Atsushi Ono
Dear Bill,
Siphopteron sp.2 is very similar to Siphopteron sp.1 but lacks the orange tip found in Siphopteron sp.1.
They may be the same species. But I have never seen a middle type. Siphopteron sp.2 has no color mark, it is only white.
Sincerely,
Atsushi Ono

Ono, A., 1999 (Jul 28) Another photo of Siphopteron sp. 2.. [Message in] Sea Slug Forum. Australian Museum, Sydney. Available from http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/1125Dear Atsushi,
This photo also shows the absence of a siphonal ridge, suggesting it will probably turn out to be a species of Gastropteron when specimens are examined.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman.
