Haminoea or Haminaea
September 29, 2000
From: Juan Lucas Cervera
Hi Bill,
Could you tell me (or some other one) what is the exact reference of the Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature in which it is stated the final decision of Haminoea vs Haminaea.
Thank you.
Lucas.

Cervera, J.L., 2000 (Sep 29) Haminoea or Haminaea. [Message in] Sea Slug Forum. Australian Museum, Sydney. Available from http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/3089Dear Lucas,
I thought I had posted this information. Better late than never. All the members of the Commission who voted agreed that the spelling should be Haminoea. The reference is:
Opinion 1942. Haminoea [Turton] in Turton & Kingston in Carrington, 1830 and HAMINOEINAE Pilsbry, 1895 (Mollusca, Gastropoda): placed on Official Lists as correct original spellings. Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 57(1): 52-3 (March 2000).
I have posted a copy of the Opinion on a separate page.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman.
