Hypselodoris flavomarginata
June 1, 1999
From: Vinka Stenhouse
Dear Bill
We have sighted a Hypselodoris flavomarginata on Espiritu Santo Island, Vanuatu in Oct 1998. It was feeding on sponge in 18m among coral rubble. One of the most beautiful nudibranchs we have ever seen! Bright candy pink with a thick white margin and maroon gills and rhinophores. We have photos but no scanner.

Stenhouse, V., 1999 (Jun 1) Hypselodoris flavomarginata. [Message in] Sea Slug Forum. Australian Museum, Sydney. Available from http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/904Dear Vinka,
Thanks for the message about H. flavomarginata. I would very much like to put a photo of your animal on the Forum. If you were willing to send me a print or a slide I can scan it here and return it to you. By publishing a photo with sightings such as yours it gives the record great scientific value - almost as good as having the specimen - because other experts can confirm the identification themselves.
I am about to go to Italy for a couple of weeks but I will be back mid June. If you can send a photo, could you please address it to me at:

Best wishes,
