Doto cf. columbiana

Order: NUDIBRANCHIA
Suborder: DENDRONOTINA
Family: Dotidae

Doto columbiana O'Donoghue,1921 was described the Vancouver Region, Canada. The colour was described as - ".. greyish white or pale greyish yellow all over the body and foot alike. On the back and along the sides are scattered black pencillings and an edging of the same black melanophores surround the raised areas on the cerata ...".

There is a good photo in Behrens (1991). On Dave Behren's advice I have tentatively identified Marli Wakeling's photo with this species, but the heavy black pigmentation on the body and the pink cerata suggest an anatomical comparison is required to confirm this.
