Shell of holotype, 49 fathoms off Cavalli Ids, nthn New Zealand. Shell dimensions 8.5 x 6 mm.
Quite similar in shape to Philinopsis taronga, which also occurs in New Zealand, it is pure white in colour, and differs in penial morphology and other anatomical features. Known from a single specimen, 20 mm long preserved.
