Goniodoridella savignyi from Egypt (Red Sea)
March 10, 2005
From: M. Poddubetskaia
Dear Bill,
This tiny guy is the first nudi I've seen in Dahab, Egypt. It was white with papillae and yellow tips to the rhinophores. The only species I know which fits this description is Goniodoridella savignyi. Could you confirm this ID, please. Sorry for so bad photos, but this nudi was only 3mm in size and the divemaster was eager to continue his way.
Locality: Canyon, Dahab, Egypt, Red Sea. Depth: 13 m. Length: 3 mm. 27 February 2005. corals' Photographer: Marina Poddubetskaia - Nembro website
Cheers,
Marina.

Yes this is Goniodoridella savignyi. It was originally described from specimens collected in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt, Red Sea, so your photos have a special interest.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman
