Hi Bill,
Here are some photos of Notodoris ? from the Maldives. Size: 15 mm, depth: 13m, October 27, 1999, Himmafushi Island, divesite:
Rainbow Reef
Is this a juvenile Notodoris minor?

Dear Erwin,
I'm sorry this message got lost at the end of last year but better late than never!
I used to think this was a juvenile of Notodoris gardineri but I am beginning to wonder of it is a distinct species. It certainly differs in having black rhinophores and small round black spots. I can't see much difference in the radular teeth between the yellow species but I should look (or someone should) to see if this small spotted animal is a juvenile or reproductively mature. Specimens I have seen in Australia are feeding on the same sponge as N. gardineri and N. minor so their food doesn't seem to be a very conclusive feature.
Basically I don't know so I have left it as Notodoris sp.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman.
