Koehler, E., 2001 (Jul 3) Marionia ? from the Philippines. [Message in] Sea Slug Forum. Australian Museum, Sydney. Available from http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/4629Dear Erwin,
This is the one I have previously called Tritoniid sp. 3. I think Odhner would have put it in a genus Marionopsis rather than Marionia but the first task is to sort out the species names of these tropical tritoniids. It seems to be crawling over a colony of the soft coral Pachyclavularia violacea which is the food of the aeolid Phyllodesmium briareum [see Rie Nakano's photo]. Did you by chance see any sign of it feeding on this soft coral or was it just passing by?
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman
