Hello Bill,
Here we have another nudibranch during a night dive which we can't identify. The color pattern, especially the rings around the base of the rhinophores and the gills, looks like a Hypselodoris dollfusi, but Anilao is a bit out of the way of the Gulf region.
By the way, Anilao is a paradise for nudibranch lovers. We found about 45 different species (not identified them all yet) in 23 dives over 6 days.

Dear Reindert & Mieke,
There are quite a few species with a wide Indo-West Pacific distribution including the Philippines and the Gulf region, but although this has some similarities to H. dollfusi in colour, its shape is more like the Hypselodoris bullocki group of species. I have seen photos of this now and then, but it doesn't appear to be very common. I'll call it Hypselodoris sp. 11.
