Nembrotha sp. from Kerama Ids

From: Bob Bolland

Hi Bill,
I recently ran across an image of an unusual and very attractive Nembrotha, perhaps Nembrotha lineolata(?). I've never seen one like it on the Forum or anywhere else. I'm wondering if you or anyone on the Forum has seen this animal before.
Data:
Location: Kerama Islands, Okinawa
Depth: 14m
Date: 14 July, 2001
Size: 40mm
Photographer: Mr. Keigo Nakamura who a SCUBA instructor on the staff of the Blue-try Dive Shop here on Okinawa. I was given his permission, through Rie Nakano, to submit the image to the Forum.

The image was taken from one of several opisthobranch pages of the Blue-try Dive Shop (the pages are all in Japanese) at: http://www.bluetry.com/cgi/phb001/photobk.cgi
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Bob,
It certainly is a strange one. I wondered about a relationship to Nembrotha lineolata when I first saw your photo but it might get lost if I put it on that page. I certainly haven't seen such a colour pattern before, perhaps someone else has.
Best wishes,
