Dear Riaan,

This seems to be the mystery animal I am calling Unidentified glaucid sp. 1. Unfortunately I can't say much more.

Best wishes,

Dear Guido,
This is the third message on the Forum of this animal. I am pretty sure it is un-named. It is on the Forum as unidentified glaucid sp 1  because I can't even guess an appropriate genus
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman

Dear Colin,
I think this is an unnamed species. We already have a record of it on the Forum as unidentified glaucid sp.1. As I say in that message, it is not possible to say what genus it belongs to until we know something about its anatomy.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman

Fraser, V., 2000 (Feb 16) Unknown glaucid? from South Africa. [Message in] Sea Slug Forum. Australian Museum, Sydney. Available from http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/1550

Dear Valda,
Apart from guessing that it is a member of the Glaucidae, I can't really say much more. It has a rather striking colour pattern, but I am unable to match it with any description I can find from South Africa or the rest of the Indo-West Pacific for that matter. If it is named hopefully some one will recognise it and let us know.

Best wishes,
Bill Rudman.
