Differs in colour from Chromodoris strigata in having an orange-yellow edge to rhinophore pocket, in having an unbroken outer black band on the mantle and in the gills having a white basal half and and the rest orange. In gill colour it is similar to Chromodoris boucheti and one colour form of Chromodoris dianae but unlike the gills of C. strigata. It is possibly an unnamed species so I will call it Chromodoris cf. strigata (2) on the Forum to differentiate it from the animal I am already calling Chromodoris cf. strigata.
