Concerning message #17491:
Hi Bill,
Thanks a ton for your ID on the C. strigata and the Flabellina exoptata. I really battled with that one. Following the message from Julie Marshall, I think this one is a Goniodoridella savignyi. I took this photo in May and it has been sitting in my unidentified file for a while. This shows how important it is to just follow other messages on the forum. ( I hope I am right with my ID) It does seem to have a very wide distribution.
Locality: Sodwana Bay, 12 metres, South Africa, Indian, May 2006, Coral reef. Length: 6 mm. Photographer: Colin Ogden.
Regards
Colin

Ogden C. M., 2006 (Aug 23) Goniodoridella savignyi from South Africa. [Message in] Sea Slug Forum. Australian Museum, Sydney. Available from http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/17519Dear Colin,
Yes this is Goniodoridella savignyi. I think this is the first record from South Africa so that is an interesting addition to our knowledge of its distribution.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman
