Hi Bill,
Looking at your recent pictures of juvenile N. gardineri I think my Notodoris sp. 1 from the Maldives is this one too. I didn't know that juvenile Notodoris have black rhinopores...

I must admit I had forgotten about your Notodoris sp. 1. On reading my comments about your animal, I'm glad I haven't contradicted myself. I don't really know that juvenile Notodoris have black rhinophores, but it is certainly beginning to look like that. I did get the radula out of some juveniles some years ago, but their are no easily distinguishing differences I could find which would allow me to say they were juvenile N. minor or N gardineri. If juveniles do have black rhinophores than you are probably correct in suggesting these are juvenile N. gardineri, but I must say the regular black spots are rather unusual.
