Haminoea

Order: CEPHALASPIDEA
Family: Haminoeidae

Here is the latest stage in an on-going discussion with the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature on the "correct" spelling of Haminoea. My personal view is that the spelling Haminoea should be retained as it has been consistently used this century throughout the world, except Europe, and is the only spelling that is valid name under the Rules.

Note added September 2000: The International Commission agreed that Haminoea is the correct spelling. I have posted a copy of their Opinion separately.
